“As we ought to be more frugal of our time than our money, the one being infinitely more valuable than the other, so ought we to be particularly watchful of opportunities; there are times and seasons proper for every purpose of life; and a very material part of prudence it is to judge rightly of them, and make the best of them.”
— J. Burgh
BURGH, JAMES, born in Perthshire, Scotland, 1714; a moral and political writer; died, 1775.
How many hours are being spent on attempts at fulfilling justice for a former president of the United States by so many who could be working on something advancing the nation,
This from a man being elected with thousands of lawsuits in his past, and he continues wasting a nation’s time, abusing the system while trying to dismantle it,
Perhaps this seems beneficial to those who dream of a smaller government, of bathtub size or smaller, for if the focus is on this man who thrives in being a focus point, then nothing will advance, this the logic we suffer from,
It’s obstruction of progress as the goal, and as the American diva sings his aria continually, and the audience is captivated, and tax bills remain low for those who count.
A preponderance of one political party have advanced by sabotaging government, they are handsomely rewarded for the efforts, they dislike government too, so they feel righteous in their destructive roles,
The extremism in which they now live is destructive all by itself, yet they first wish to cripple our nation, this foremost in their minds, slash and burn, but don’t replant,
And so many will vote for this very idea of dysfunctional actions, as they dislike and distrust government as well, it being “the other guy” always to themselves, and there always is a conspiracy attached,
So they don’t wish for any change, as they somehow believe that positive differences can’t occur, regardless, as government is always the problem,
And we’re stuck in the mud, tires spinning, getting nowhere, so many must be content to hear the rubber throwing up mud, at least “X, Y” or “Z” will not result, we’re better off where we are most likely, this their self-imposed mantra filling the nation’s ethos,
Government is the enemy, it threatens our freedom, and we follow the billionaire’s lead, as he is a billionaire for the right reasons most certainly, I’m on his side,
And of these American titans with outsized influence, and miniscule national responsibility, they pride themselves upon the management of their wealth gathering enterprises, and we buy back our stocks goddammit, it’s legal isn’t it,
Yet they demand that government be mismanaged, as they place their divas, and empty suits in place to fulfill this lusting desire, distract or divert, who cares, we’re in it for results,
“Just looking out for the stockholders, besides I employ X number of Americans, I’ve earned the right to doom the government,”
Congress, state legislatures, the Supreme Court has many empty chairs with bodies sitting solidly within them.
And this view stated above is at enough of a threshold that we remain in the mud, more and more firearms mean more dead children, the spinning wheels are heating up, the muddy waters are steaming, the tire sounds pierce the air,
And the well rewarded hindrances in their suits, and fine clothes with symbolic lapel pins of an American flag or an AR-15 reman hindrances, as that’s their duty in this twisted scenario,
The diva does his outrageous antics nearly everyday, and the gears of government grind much too slowly, the bones of our forefathers are ground to dust,
And the desire to be they lead diva is shared within these ranks, they will climb over one another for the role,
And we waste time, with the seas and atmosphere heating to anger, time is not limitless for us anymore, they only bury their head,
But we do not wish to move ourselves out of the bog hole, as certainly we must fear what might come if we do, the unknown seems terrifying compared to the muck,
We are wasting so much, when we can’t afford to, and the entertainment value of the diva will not compensate us in the end.
